One branch of commisioned work I undertake are the murals. These are effectively paintings on a very large scale, and both examples are on full width walls.Three commissions are featured here:

1. "The Mural in the Windlass"

2. "The Rock Supergroup"

3. "One Man 2 Guvnors" - this is not a mural, but scenery prepared (in haste) for the St. John's Players, an amateur dramatics company in Worcester for their adaptation of the play James Corden took to Broadway in 2011.

This is known as "The Mural in The Windlass", a restaurant at the river end of Mart Lane, Stourport-on-Severn. The client asked for a canal wharf scene featuring the restaurant itself. in response I brought in the bridge over the narrow lock in the town, the dockside crane, and the side of the Tontine buildings. the composition is not meant to be "accurate" in that it borrows elements from the canal basins re-arranged around a ficititous wharf. but it IS meant as a celebration of the idea of coming into a haven off the river - which is precisely what used to happen, and still does!
